Why Half Day

A Private Boat Day Without Giving Up the Whole Day

Four hours is enough for Grand Cayman’s signature North Sound experiences, because the stingrays, reefs and Starfish Point are all close together inside the reef. Keeping the route focused means less time travelling and more time in the water, and you are back in time for lunch, the beach or dinner.

This is a crewed charter, not a self-drive boat rental: your captain handles navigation, anchoring, gear and safety, and your crew looks after everyone in the water. You just enjoy the day.

Morning trips are calm and energising; afternoon trips leave your morning for the beach. Tell us your plans and we will suggest the best start time.

Plan Your Four Hours

Build a Half-Day Itinerary Around One Must-See Experience

The best half-day Cayman Island boat rental starts with one priority. Tell us what your group most wants to see or do, and your captain will build a realistic four-hour route around it, so you spend your time swimming, snorkeling or fishing rather than travelling.

Morning and Afternoon Trips That Fit Your Cayman Plans

Choose a morning or afternoon departure around the rest of your day. Morning trips give an energetic start, calm water and a quieter Stingray City Sandbar; afternoon charters leave your morning free for the beach or a slow breakfast. Times can be adjusted around weather, availability and your plans.

Pair Stingray City With a Nearby Snorkeling Stop

The classic half day combines the southern stingrays at the Sandbar with Coral Gardens or another reef your captain recommends for the day. Two signature North Sound experiences, with no rushed, multi-stop schedule.

Choose Starfish Point, Coral Gardens or the Mangroves

  • Visit Starfish Point for knee-deep water and red cushion sea stars.
  • Snorkel Coral Gardens or the Barrier Reef for coral and tropical fish.
  • Cruise the mangroves for a quieter change of scenery.
  • Ask about another nearby stop that suits the day’s water and weather.

Add a Focused Reef Fishing Trip to Your Four-Hour Charter

Guests who want more action can make the half day a reef fishing charter: a short run to a productive reef, time fishing with the crew’s help, a swim or snorkel if time allows, and a relaxed return without losing the rest of your day. Tackle and bait are included.

Two Well-Paced Stops, a Flexible Route

Most four-hour charters work best with two unhurried stops, with time to swim and snorkel at each. A third short stop is sometimes possible when the locations and conditions line up. Your captain may change the order, choose a more sheltered reef or adjust the route on the day; those calls protect your time and get you the best water available.

Private Crew, Snorkel Equipment and Refreshments

  • An experienced captain and crew who handle the route, equipment and timing
  • Snorkel gear, snorkel vests and life jackets for every guest
  • A fresh fruit platter, chips, water and soda, with cheese and charcuterie on request
  • SeaBobs, paddleboards, a kayak and a wakeboard on Bamboozled; a large sun float and noodles on Mojito Majic
  • Patient guidance for guests new to snorkeling or meeting the stingrays

Choose Bamboozled, our 56-foot Lagoon catamaran, for space and relaxed sailing, or Mojito Majic, our 38-foot Intrepid, for speed and the best value for smaller groups. Check half-day availability.
